Recently, the reporter learned that, in order to help establish our province as a "high-quality demonstration area for the integration of culture, sports, and tourism", the Transportation Department of Liaoning Province has conducted research and planned the development of 11 themed tourism routes. These routes are designed around key themes such as "historical culture", "green ecology", and "water-based leisure". Among these, the Mountain-Sea Great Wall Tourist Road project, located within our city, has been selected as one of the priority routes.
It is reported that the Mountain-Sea Great Wall Tourist Road Project is located in Suizhong County, starting from East Daihe YinTai Mercury Ocean Park, and ending at Fanjia Manchu Township and connecting with Lingyuan-Suizhou Expressway under construction. The project connects Yong’an Great Wall, Yong’an Grand Canyon, Damaoshan Great Wall, Xiaohekou Great Wall, Xigou Great Wall, YinTai Mercury Ocean Park, East Daihe Tourist Resort, Jieshi Palace Site, Qiansuo Ancient City, Jiumenkou Great Wall, Zhuizishan Great Wall Tourist Area, Miaofeng Temple Twins Towers, the First Party Branch in Western Liaoning, Wuhuading National Nature Reserve, Puji Temple and other key scenic spots.
The theme tourism route project will be integrated with the construction and maintenance of regular highways, and is planned to be completed over four years (2024-2027). The Transportation Department of Liaoning Province, in collaboration with the Liaoning Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, has already formulated and released the "Special Action Plan for Promoting the High-Quality Development of Tourism Roads (2023-2027)". This plan includes 19 specific supporting measures. For the 11 tourism routes, the focus will be on the concept of "one road, one design; one road, one brand", aiming to fully leverage the region’s cultural and tourism resources. Experts and design teams will conduct field investigations and assessments, ensuring the development of high-standard overall design plans for the tourism roads. These theme tourism routes will not only enhance the travel experience for visitors but also inject new vitality into the local tourism industry.
