"Light Up the Winter" 2024-2025 Opening Ceremony of Liaoning Province Winter Tourism and Huludao (Longgang) Ice and Snow Culture Season Series Activities in Hulu Ancient Town

On December 27, "Light Up the Winter" 2024-2025 Opening Ceremony of Liaoning Province Winter Tourism and Huludao (Longgang) Ice and Snow Culture Season Series Activities was held in Hulu Ancient Town. Zhang Jianhua, member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and Minister of Propaganda Department, was present at the opening ceremony and announced the opening of the ice and snow culture season. Liu Hui, Vice Mayor, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech on behalf of the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government. Yuan Ling, Vice Mayor, also attended the opening ceremony.

When night falls, the crowds gather at the activity site, fireworks bloom in the night sky, Datiehua (Iron Fireworks), intangible cultural heritage, splashes everywhere, and the float parade adds the activity atmosphere. Besides, more than 20 groups of auspicious themed new-year lanterns and nearly 10,000 fancy lanterns light up the winter night sky... Wandering in the alleys of the ancient town, tourists can vividly see the old Guandong (Northeast China) folk scenes of "old streets, old alleys, old workshops, beautiful scenery, delicious food, and beauties".

Liaoning Provincial Cultural and Sports Tourism Industry Development Group and Hulu Ancient Town have joined forces to fully utilize the characteristic advantages of "enjoy the ice and snow in the north, celebrate the New Year in Guandong", and launch the hospitality mode of "visit the Hulu Ancient Town, the first stop in Liaoning". The special theme highlights such as "Celebrate the New Year in Guandong" and "Wonderful Night at Lantern Festival" skillfully integrate fashion elements and intangible cultural heritage, and the programs such as Northeast Style Art Float Parade, Intangible Cultural Heritage Fireworks Show, Bright Northern Lights Night, Black Myth • Wukong Theme Lantern Parade, and Fireworks Show are launched, which carefully prepare a romantic ice and snow feast for tourists, thus fully lighting up the winter, opening up the winter tourism market, and truly realizing the all-region and all-season tour.

The ice and snow culture season series activities last from December 27, 2024 to February 14, 2025, covering important festivals such as the New Year, Spring Festival, and Lantern Festival. The activities closely focus on the strategic goals of "six places" in the new era, and aim to build a high-quality demonstration site for the integration and development of cultural and sports tourism.
